Program Overview

The program recruits doctoral students from around the world. Aligned with the development of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area and with Shenzhen's strategy of building a leading electronic information industry cluster, it is committed to cultivating high-caliber, application-oriented talents who are well-rounded in character, professional competence and personal development, who possess a global outlook, and who are capable of cross-cultural communication. International students can draw on their multilingual and cross-cultural strengths to advance academic exchange and industrial cooperation between China and the rest of the world.

Program Features

The program upholds the "deep integration of industry, academia, research and application." Leveraging Shenzhen's industrial strengths, it adopts a supervisor-team system and internationalized training, strengthens engineering ethics, academic integrity, teamwork and innovative practice, and encourages participation in international cooperation and major engineering projects.

Program Highlights

The program is offered by the College of Artificial Intelligence in the field of Artificial Intelligence, with a specialization in Perceptual Systems and Theoretical Applications. It focuses on the foundational theories of artificial intelligence, intelligent perception and systems, and interdisciplinary intelligent applications, covering frontier areas such as machine learning, computer vision, intelligent robotics and multimodal perception, and serving intelligent manufacturing, smart cities and the digital economy. Graduates are able to independently solve complex engineering problems, compete on a global stage, and contribute to technological standards and international alignment.

李坚强，博士，讲席教授，博士生导师，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者，IEEE/IET Fellow，大数据系统计算技术国家工程实验室执行主任，深圳大学人工智能学院院长，国家重点研发计划项目首席科学家，国家级青年人才，广东省大数据分析工程技术研究中心主任，广东省杰出青年基金获得者，广东省人工智能教学团队负责人。2003年和2008年于华南理工大学获工学学士和博士学位，2008年8月入职深圳大学。长期从事人工智能、机器人、物联网、移动医疗研究，主持国家杰出青年基金、国家级青年人才、国家自然科学基金重大仪器及重点项目、广东省杰出青年基金等省部级项目，在Science Advances、IEEE汇刊等发表论文200余篇。获吴文俊人工智能科技进步一等奖（第一完成人）、中国自动化学会科技进步一等奖（第一完成人）、广东省科技进步二等奖（第一完成人）、深圳市自然科学二等奖（第一完成人），连续5年入选斯坦福大学全球Top 2%顶尖科学家榜单，任IEEE汇刊等7个学术期刊编委。

英文简介

Jianqiang Li, PhD, is a Chair Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Shenzhen University, where he is Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence. He is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, an IEEE/IET Fellow, and a National Young Talent. He also serves as Executive Director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data System Computing Technology and Chief Scientist of a National Key R&D Program project. He received his Bachelor of Engineering (2003) and PhD in Engineering (2008) from South China University of Technology, joining Shenzhen University in 2008. His research covers artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, and mobile health. He has led major NSFC and provincial projects and published over 200 papers, including in Science Advances and IEEE Transactions.

His honors include First Prize of the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Progress Award and First Prize of the Chinese Association of Automation Science and Technology Progress Award, both as first contributor. He has been listed among Stanford University's Global Top 2% Scientists for five consecutive years and serves on seven journal editorial boards, including IEEE Transactions.

罗成文，新加坡国立大学博士，深圳大学人工智能学院特聘教授，现任校科学技术发展研究院副院长、人工智能学院院长助理、大数据系统计算技术国家工程实验室工业大数据研究中心主任。兼任 CCF 物联网专委会、互联网专委会委员，中国自动化学会、中国人工智能学会相关专委会委员，广东省青年科技创新研究会副理事长兼人工智能分会会长、深圳市电脑学会秘书长，担任 ACM Computing Survey 等期刊编委。主要研究智能感知与人机协同，在 TMC、TON、NeurIPS、INFOCOM 等顶刊顶会发表论文 100 余篇。主持国家自然科学基金优秀青年基金、区域联合基金重点、面上、青年项目及国家重点研发计划 “智能机器人” 专项课题。

Chengwen Luo received his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore. He is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Shenzhen University. He currently serves as ViceDirector of the Institute of Science and Technology Development, Assistant Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence, and Director of the Industrial BigData Research Center, National Engineering Laboratory for BigData System Computing Technologies.He is a member of CCF Technical Committees on Internet of Things and Internet, member of relevant technical committees under the Chinese Association of Automation and Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, ViceChairman of Guangdong Young Science and Technology Innovation Research Association and President of its Artificial Intelligence Branch, and SecretaryGeneral of Shenzhen Computer Society. He also works as an Associate Editor for international top journals including ACM Computing Survey.His research focuses on intelligent perception and humanmachine collaboration. He has published over 100 papers in top journals and conferences such as TMC, TON, NeurIPS and INFOCOM. As principal investigator, he has presided over NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund, Key Project of Regional Joint Fund, General and Youth Projects of NSFC, as well as research tasks under the National Key R&D Program for “Intelligent Robots”.
