From October 4th to 7th, during the National Day holiday, the Audencia Business School of Shenzhen University and the College of International Exchange jointly organized a culture journey to Jiangxi. 23 students from France, Mauritius, South Korea, Indonesia, and China, they embarked on a journey to explore Jingdezhen, Hangling, and Wuyuan in Jiangxi.
The trip to Jingdezhen was an exploration of ceramic art. In Jingdezhen, students got to experience the art of ceramic making firsthand and felt the profound cultural heritage of Chinese porcelain. The ceramic art in Jingdezhen, with its exquisite craftsmanship and unique aesthetics, allowed students to experience a genuine cultural immersion as they created their own ceramic works.
In Hongling, they experienced the charm of Chinese Hui-style architecture and the unique "drying autumn crops" culture, and felt the joy of harvest and harmony with nature in rural China. As the poem says, "In the fragrance of rice blossoms, they talk of a bountiful year; they hear the sound of frogs all around." The beauty of Hongling makes people feel as if they are in a painting, with white walls, black tiles, and colorful crops creating a vivid autumn scene.
On their last night in Jiangxi, the students watched the "Meeting Yi-Yuan" live performance, which takes the legend of the celestial maiden flying through the sky as its background and uses abstract theatrical techniques and modern stage technology to vividly present the beauty of Yi-Yuan's mountains and waters and its cultural charm. It not only showcases the natural beauty and cultural charm of Yi-Yuan, but also provides a touching and thought-provoking experience, offering a rare cultural experience for international students.
After the cultural journey, the students expressed their thoughts. They wrote down many heartfelt comments with great care. This journey was not only an exploration of culture, but also an exchange of hearts, allowing students from different cultural backgrounds to experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture together and enhance their understanding and identification with Chinese culture.
During this cultural journey, students had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of China's history, art, and traditions. At the same time, the shared experiences and funny stories during the trip would become precious memories for the students, which would serve as a bond for their friendship even after the trip was over, allowing them to recall those wonderful moments in the future. We experienced the charm of traditional Chinese culture together, and also deepened the friendship between Chinese and foreign students.
