深圳大学教育学博士项目致力于通过严谨的学术研究、创新的学术探索以及与学校、社区和政策制定者的紧密合作，推动教育领域的知识、实践与政策发展。本项目旨在培养能够在地方、国家及国际层面为教育事业发展做出贡献的优秀学者，并特别注重在中国教育快速变革的背景下，教育公平、教育伦理及社会相关性的研究。

博士项目培养目标：

·培养教育领域的高阶研究能力，包括研究构思、设计、数据收集、分析、解读及成果分享

·针对教育领域亟待解决的问题，在理论、方法论与实践层面产出原创性成果

·为毕业生在高等教育机构、研究中心、政策研究院及教育组织中担任领导角色奠定基础

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Education at Shenzhen University aims to advance knowledge, practice, and policy in education through rigorous research, innovative scholarship, and strong partnerships with schools, communities, and policymakers. The program is dedicated to developing scholars who can contribute to educational improvement at local, national, and international levels, with an emphasis on equity, ethics, and social relevance in the context of China's rapidly evolving educational landscape.

The program objectives are:

·Cultivate advanced research competencies in education, including conceptualization, design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination.

·Produce original contributions to theory, methodology, and practice that address pressing educational challenges.

·Prepare graduates for leadership roles in higher education, research centers, policy institutes, and educational organizations.

·Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across pedagogy, psychology, technology, administration, and policy studies.

·Promote ethical research practices, cultural responsiveness, and a commitment to social justice in education.

The PhD program supports diverse research interests. Current thematic concentrations include, but are not limited to: A. Lesson Study, Learning Study and Teacher Professional Development; B. Phenomenological Pedagogy and Teacher Quality; C. Curriculum and Instructional Design; D. Artificial Intelligence in Education; E. Higher Education and Policy; F. The PhD in Education Program at Shenzhen University aims to cultivate scholars who can drive innovation, inform policy, and strengthen educational practice across diverse contexts. Graduates of the PhD in Education at Shenzhen University will be well-positioned for a range of high-impact roles in academia, policy, and practice. In higher education, they can pursue tenure-track faculty positions, lead research centers, or assume leadership roles in teacher education and curriculum programs. In research and policy, graduates are equipped to contribute as national or regional education researchers, think-tank analysts, or policy advisors, shaping evidence-based reforms and program evaluations. The program’s emphasis on rigorous methodology, theoretical grounding, ethical and cross-cultural perspectives also prepares graduates for international collaborations, cross-national studies, and education technology initiatives.

深圳大学教育学部特聘教授、教育研究院院长，博士生导师。李树英教授是国际知名教育学者、教育现象学和课堂学习研究专家，指导过中国内地、港澳和加拿大四十多名博士生，主持开展了国内国际三十余项大型科研项目。李教授是加拿大阿尔伯塔大学教育学博士，过去三十五年来先后任职于阿尔伯塔大学、香港中文大学、香港教育大学、澳门城市大学等七所高校，后以特聘教授身份加入深圳大学。他的研究领域涵盖基础教育与高等教育多个方向，包括教育现象学、高等教育、课程与教学论、课例研究、教师专业发展、课堂行动研究等。

Distinguished Professor, Director of the Institute of Education Research at Shenzhen University, PhD Supervisor. Professor Li is an internationally well recognized education scholar, a leading expert in phenomenological pedagogy, Lesson and Learning Study. He has supervised over 40 PhD students from Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, and Canada. He has conducted over 30 large scale education research projects both at national and international level. Professor Li obtained his PhD in Education at University of Alberta, Canada. Over the past 35 years, he has worked in University of Alberta, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Education University, City University of Macau and the other three universities before he was relocated to Shenzhen University as Distinguished Professor. His research covers a wide range of topics from basic to higher learning including Phenomenological Pedagogy, Higher Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Lesson and Learning Study, Teacher Professional Development, Classroom based Action Research, and so on.

教育技术学专业博士，教授，博导。毕业于北京师范大学，现为深圳大学教育学部副主任，智能教研研究中心主任。兼任教育部基础教育教学指导专业委员会委员、中国教育技术协会教育测量与评价专业委员会副主任。出版《数字化学习中的新媒体与新技术》等专著及教材等4部；发表学术论文40余篇，完成教育部人文社会科学研究课题“智慧学习环境下基于多模态融合的学习参与度识别机制研究”等多项课题研究。主要研究方向为信息化教学创新、人工智能教育、人工智能赋能教学改革等。

Dr. Xiaoming Cao, a doctoral advisor in Educational Technology, holds a Ph.D. from Beijing Normal University. Currently serving as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Education at Shenzhen University and Director of the Center for Intelligent Teaching and Research, he also holds appointments as a member of the Professional Committee for Basic Education Teaching Guidance under the Ministry of Education and Vice Chair of the Committee on Educational Measurement and Evaluation of the China Association of Educational Technology. He has authored four books and textbooks, including “New Media and Technologies in Digital Learning,” and published over 40 academic papers. He has completed several research projects, such as the Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences project “Research on the Recognition Mechanism of Learning Engagement in Smart Learning Environments Based on Multi-Modal Fusion.” His research focuses on innovative ICT-based teaching, AI education, and the application of AI in Education.

She has also led two Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Projects and multiple Shenzhen municipal projects as Principal Investigator. She currently serves as a Director of the Preschool Education Professional Committee of the Guangdong Higher Education Association, a Special Supervisor for Early Childhood Education in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, and the Deputy Secretary-General of the Shenzhen University Family Education Research Institute.

Dr. Tao He is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational Information Technology at the Faculty of Education, Shenzhen University. He is also recognized as a Shenzhen High-level Talent. He received his Ph.D. from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2017. Dr. He's research focuses on the interdisciplinary integration of Artificial Intelligence and Education (AIED). He has published 30+ papersin prestigious SSCI/SCI-indexed journals and CCF-A recommended top-tier conferences. His recent work has appeared in British Journal of Educational Technology (BJET), Computers & Education (CAE), and various IEEE Transactions journals. He has also applied for and been granted 7 national invention patents. As a principal investigator, Dr. He has led 2 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and has completed 5 other provincial/ministerial-level projects.
