PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The mathematics discipline of our university obtained the academic doctoral program in July 2021. Cultivate research-oriented and high-level professionals with all-round moral, intellectual and physical development to meet the needs of national and local development. Master solid expertise in mathematics, computer software and theory, and be familiar with the progress, trend and development frontier of big data science.

CORE COURSES

Functional analysis, modern mathematical theory, complex analysis, dynamical system, Riemannian surface, complex dynamical system, etc.

CAREER PROSPECTS

Doctoral graduates will have independent innovation ability, practical ability and entrepreneurial spirit, and have the ability to engage in scientific research, college teaching or undertake special technical work independently.

贺劲松,1999年7月研究生毕业于中国科大数学系，获得理学博士学位，2018年11月至今任深圳大学高等研究院教授。 他主要研究领域是可积非线性偏微分方程（组）的数学理论及其物理应用，负责国家自然科学基金6项（5项已经结题）， 入选教育部2008年度新世纪优秀人才支持计划，入选深圳市“鹏城孔雀计划”特聘教授（B类， 2021.12）。贺教授在国内外SCI学术刊物上发表论文总计200篇，入选“中国高被引学者”(2019-2021年)，也应邀担任国际知名期刊 Physica D 编委（2021.11-2027.10）， 客座编委（2021.07-2022.04）。

Jingsong He received the Doctor’s Degree of Science from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, P. R. China in 1999. He is a Professor of Mathematics at Institute for advanced Study, Shenzhen University since November 2018. Prof. He has published about 200 scientific papers in the field of mathematical physics and nonlinear waves. Prof. He has got six grants from NSF of China (2004-2024), one grant from Program for NCET of China (2009-2011). Prof. He has also got Chinese fellowship from University of Warwick (UK) for half year visit (2003), and CNPq-TWAS Postdoctoral fellowship (2005) for one year visit at Brazil, and scholarship from CSC of China (2011) for one year visit at University of Cambridge. Prof. He is an editor of Physica D: Nonlinear Phenomena(2021-2027).

Research interests: integrable partial differential equations (mathematical theory and physical applications).

深圳大学数学科学学院特聘教授，副院长，博士生导师。主要从事数学优化理论、算法与应用研究，在非凸稀疏优化方法与交叉学科应用方面取得了一系列学术成果，在SIAM J. Optim., Math. Program., Math. Oper. Res., Inverse Probl., J. Mach. Learn. Res., Genome Biol.等国际学术刊物发表学术论文60余篇，授权6项国家发明专利，开发多个生物信息学工具包与网页服务器，先后主持国家自然科学基金7项（包含国家自然科学基金青B项目、国家重点研发计划重点专项课题、数学天元交叉联合重点项目），省市级科研项目10余项。

Dr. Yaohua Hu is a Distinguished Professor, Vice Dean and PhD Supervisor in School of Mathematical Sciences at Shenzhen University. His research focuses on mathematical optimization theory, algorithms and applications, and he has made a series of academic achievements in nonconvex sparse optimization methods and interdisciplinary applications. He has been awarded a number of research grants including the Outstanding Young Scientists Fund (Class B) of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Key Project of the National Key Research and Development Program of China, and the Key Joint Interdisciplinary Project of the NSFC Tianyuan Fund for Mathematics. He has published 60+ papers in prestigious international journals including SIAM J. Optim., Math. Program., Math. Oper. Res., Inverse Probl., J. Mach. Learn. Res., Genome Biol., etc., been granted 6 national invention patents, developed multiple bioinformatics toolkits and web servers, and successively led 7 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects and more than 10 provincial and municipal research projects in total.
