On the morning of July 7th, the graduation ceremony for language students of the Spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year of the College of International Exchange was grandly held in the No. 2 Lecture Hall of Huixing Building. College leaders, all language student class advisors, teachers and all language students gathered together to witness the successful conclusion of this semester's learning journey. International students from all over the world with dreams and goals jointly composed a "Spring Story" unique to Shenzhen University.

The ceremony kicked off with a commemorative video. In the footage, language students from all over the world were seen earnestly pronouncing Chinese characters in class, experiencing the joy of making and tasting tea in cultural activities, and sharing their stories in broken Chinese by the playground... One by one, these vivid scenes strung together the transformation from strangeness to familiarity, from shyness to ease, eliciting frequent chuckles and applause from the audience.
Then, Yang Jingjing, a student from Indonesia, took the stage to sing the Chinese song "The Wind Blows". "I was once lost in the vastness of the world, and also indulged in my daydreams", her clear voice and slightly shy yet determined eyes not only expressed the students' aspirations for the future, but also their deep attachment to their study time at Shenzhen University. Just as the song conveys, every student's academic journey is filled with the courage of "the wind blowing", raising the sails of exploration in the campus of Shenzhen University.

Vice Dean Zheng Jie extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students at the ceremony, praising their growth and progress from learning pinyin to fluent communication, and from being at a loss to actively engaging in campus life and showcasing their true selves. The words of encouragement from the teachers and elders were filled with deep care and blessings for the students, urging them to set sail with hope and dreams, vitality and vigor, and to connect hearts with Chinese and let civilization shine.

Next, student representatives spoke. Ali, a Palestinian student, came to Shenzhen, this land of the East, with his dreams. He emotionally expressed that coming to Shenzhen University to study was one of the most correct decisions he had ever made. Keli De, a student from the United States, emotionally shared his story of choosing Shenzhen University and coming here. Before coming to China, he was deeply attracted by the "Spring Story" of Shenzhen's history and decided to come and see this rapidly developing "City of Struggle" with his own eyes. Now, he has found his "spring" at Shenzhen University and is determined to share the charm of the Chinese language and culture and the city of Shenzhen with his family and friends, truly becoming a messenger of cultural exchange. Their words were filled with gratitude to their teachers and deep friendship towards their classmates, evoking rounds of applause from the audience.

The subsequent awarding ceremony of honors served as a vivid testament to the students' diligent efforts. Secretary Qin Qing presented certificates and prizes to the students who achieved full attendance, paying tribute to their unwavering commitment despite all odds. Vice President Zhang Daqiang awarded prizes to outstanding students from the advanced and intermediate classes, while Vice President Zheng Jie presented awards to the outstanding students from the beginner and introductory classes. These two forms of recognition jointly bore witness to the remarkable growth of the students in their language proficiency and cross-cultural integration.

At the end of the award ceremony, all the teachers and students took a group photo as a memento. Students from all over the world were beaming with the same brilliant smiles in the joy of harvest, capturing this "family photo" that transcends national boundaries. This ceremony, brimming with harvest and warmth, came to a successful conclusion amid prolonged applause. "Though far apart, we are close at heart." The International Exchange College will continue to witness and accompany everyone's growth and development. We wish all the graduates a bright future and hope they will write even more splendid "stories of the four seasons" in the future!
