Political Communication
NAME OF MAJOR
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Political Communication is a second-level discipline based on the first-level discipline in Journalism and Communication in the School of Media and Communication. Political communication is a summary of the phenomenon of political communication and the exploration and application of the laws of political communication, which includes the structures, behaviors, ways, environments, and forms of political communication, and is a second-tier subject that combines political science and journalism and communication.
Training Objectives:
1. to lay theoretical foundations for the humanities and social sciences.
2. to understand the knowledge map of journalism and mass communication.
3. to broaden the horizons with international knowledge, thus enhancing the students' creativity and innovation in conducting academic research.
4. to train students to become world-class researchers or professionals in political communication.

Introduction
Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of School of Government, Shenzhen University, Executive Director of Research Institute of Global Megacities Governance, Director of "Inner-Party Regulation Research Center" - a key Research Base of Humanities and Social Sciences in Guangdong Province. Research fellow at Harvard University; member of the Chinese Institute of Political Science, member of the Guangdong Institute of Administration; he has presided over more than 10 National Social Science Projects and Ministry of Education Planning Projects, and has published 5 books and nearly 100 papers. Research fields include Urban Governance, Global Mega-city Governance, and Urban Politics.
