In order to deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Xi Jinping's cultural thought, to faithfully tell the story of China, to authentically communicate the Chinese voice, and to display a true, three-dimensional, and comprehensive Chinese culture, the Division of Arts SZU and the College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University jointly organize the “Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Works by International Students”. This exhibition emphasizes the importance of cross-cultural exchange, artistic cooperation, and cultural communication in international education. This exhibition will also demonstrate the positive role of international students in the dissemination of Chinese culture and Chinese painting and calligraphy. The exhibition provides a rich and colorful platform and content for the promotion of cultural exchange and multicultural communication. The notice regarding the contributions for the exhibition is as follows:

II. Contribution of artworks
All international students are invited to submit their works.
III. Content of Artworks
1. Works of art that present Chinese history, culture, and social customs and are created through Chinese aesthetics of imagery and artistic expression.
2. Works of art that demonstrate the integration of multiple cultures and emphasize the understanding and expression of Chinese traditional art from the perspectives of international students.
IV. Submission Requirements
1. Submission period: from the date of publication of this notice to April 30, 2025.
2. The works to be exhibited must be Chinese calligraphy and Chinese painting.
3. The works submitted must be the original works of the authors that are completely independent and free from infringement problems. The use of imitation, plagiarism, or copying other works is strictly prohibited. The organizer will not be responsible for any legal liability related to portrait rights, copyright, etc.
4. Fill in the information registration form (see attached file) and send it together with pictures of the artwork to the submission e-mail address.
V. Selection
The organizers will invite experts in the field of Chinese painting and calligraphy to evaluate the works on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and openness. The preliminary works will be submitted as electronic photos. After the works are selected in the preliminary round, the organizers will notify the respective authors to send their original works.
VI. Rewards of participating in the exhibition
1. Authors will be awarded certificates of selection.
2. A copy of the album of the selected works will be gifted to the authors.
3. The exhibition will be held at the end of June 2025.
VII. Other Matters
1. The organizer has the right to exhibit, research, photograph, videotape, publish, and publicize all selected works.
2. All contributors are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the above. The organizer has the final interpretation of this call for entries.
VIII. Receipt of Contributions
1.Participants are required to send the electronic version of their works to qifu@szu.edu.cn before the deadline for submission (The email title should be named: “Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Works by Shenzhen International Students in China from the Perspective of “Faithfully tell the story of China”+Full Name+Chinese phone number”. The photos of the artworks should be named: “Name (Nationality)+Chinese phone number+Artwork Name+ Artwork Size”)
