On June 28, the ‘2023 CHINA STORY TELLING - ‘FOREIGN CULTURAL TRADE’ TALENT SELECTION COMPETITION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ Award Ceremony and start-up training ceremony hosted by the Cultural Communication Center of China Foreign Language Publishing House and Chinese Language Teaching Publishing House and hosted by Beijing Chinese Times Culture Media Co., Ltd. was held in Beijing. Mr. Liu Dawei, Deputy Director of the China Foreign Language Administration, attended the event. Guests from Cameroon Embassy in China, Gabonese Embassy in China, China Scholarship Council, China Internet News Center and other relevant units attended the event. More than 100 guests attended the event, including representatives of overseas students, presidents of overseas alumni associations, representatives of colleges and universities, representatives of faculty advisors, and representatives of enterprises. Our teachers and students won awards in this competition and were invited to attend the award ceremony.

Li Hongru, deputy director of the Cultural Communication Center of CIPG, said in his speech that the organization and organization of this event is to actively implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Cultural inheritance and Development Symposium and a series of important speeches on the inheritance and development of Chinese culture, and is an important measure to protect and inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture, continue to innovate and promote Chinese culture to go global. In the future, SVG will continue to focus on international students, promote the linkage between government and enterprises and the co-construction of universities and enterprises, comprehensively explore and innovate the path of overseas development of Chinese culture and trade, and present a more comprehensive, real and three-dimensional international image of China.

The organizing committee of the competition played the video of the talent selection competition and awarded awards to the winning colleges, teachers and students. The ‘2023 CHINA STORY TELLING - ‘FOREIGN CULTURAL TRADE’ TALENT SELECTION COMPETITION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ was officially launched in January 2023. More than 8,000 international students from nearly 100 countries and more than 400 institutions actively applied. Through multi-level review, the competition selected a total of 50 outstanding organization awards, 42 instructor awards, 47 cultural mutual learning and friendship awards, 22 cultural communication vitality awards, 19 cultural promotion contribution awards, and 3 cultural promotion excellence awards. International students from our university actively participated in this activity and competed with international students from universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Sichuan and other provinces. Shenzhen University won the "Excellent Institution Organization Award". Among them, Shin Moonsub from South Korea won the "Cultural Promotion Contribution Award" for his video "Music Without Borders" and received corresponding prizes and money. Students Pooneh Dabiri from Iran, Shah Dhruv Bharat from Kenya and Sethi Yan from Malaysia were awarded the "Cultural Communication Vitality Award" with their works and received corresponding prizes and money. Fisenko Anastasiia from Russia and Chin Huang from Thailand won the "Cultural Mutual Learning Friendship Award" and received corresponding prizes and bonuses. Teachers Chen Mo and Zhuo Jing from the College of International Exchange won the "Excellent Instructor Award" and our school won the "Excellent Organization Award", achieving a comprehensive harvest in this competition.

The ‘2023 CHINA STORY TELLING - ‘FOREIGN CULTURAL TRADE’ TALENT SELECTION COMPETITION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ Award ceremony and the launch ceremony of the returnee Entrepreneurship training were successfully held. This marks a new stage in the Chinese-speaking era in the field of focusing on international students, linking the diverse forces of universities and enterprises, and comprehensively promoting the international communication of Chinese culture.
