Read for half an hour together,Spread Cultural Classics

One who is filled with knowledge always behaves with elegance, and the fragrance of books can lead to great success. On April 23rd, Another "World Reading Day", the College of International Exchange at Shenzhen University held the 2023 Guangdong Hong Kong Macao "Half an Hour Reading Together" event in the lecture hall of the Huizhi Building (South Library) of Shenzhen University, in order to further spread Chinese classics and tell the story of China. 22 international students from 15 countries from our school participated in the event, which was a relay reading day for all.

This activity starts with "Chinese Language" and is mainly divided into four sections: teachings from sages, human emotions, natural emotions, and feelings towards family and country. Finally, "Reading China" is the final chapter, reciting Chinese cultural classics including "The Analects", "The Book of Songs", and Tang poetry. In this recitation activity, international students of different skin colors and countries expressed their understanding and love for Chinese culture with a common language and emotions. Classic poems were interpreted with both voice and emotion by international students, showcasing the beauty of Chinese language and writing.

The "Half Hour Reading Together" event for international students from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao has a wide range of topics and rich content. It comprehensively showcases the achievements and spiritual outlook of Chinese language learning among international students from the College of International Exchange at Shenzhen University, strengthens their understanding of Chinese cultural classics, and stimulates their enthusiasm for learning Chinese. This event takes the opportunity of reading cultural classics together, allowing foreign students to deeply understand the Chinese humanistic spirit, empowering them to better tell Chinese stories, and promoting international friends' understanding of Chinese cultural classics from unknown to perceived, from perceived to understood, and from understood to loved, in order to achieve the international dissemination of Chinese excellent classics among the international student community.
