Introduction

  Dr. Kai Zhang is the Pengcheng distinguished professor of Shenzhen in finance. He is now the Dean of Institute of Financial Technology and the Chinese Dean of Shenzhen Audencia Business School, Shenzhen University . His main research area is in Finance and Economics. In 2006, he obtained a Ph.D. in Financial Optimization at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. After graduating, he was engaged in post-doctoral research at the University of Western Australia and Monash University in 2006 and 2008, and engaged in academic visits at Northeastern University Business School from 2013 to 2014. He has been engaged in theoretical and practical research in applied economics, financial engineering, quantitative investment, and risk management. He is the member of Editorial Board of several international SCI journals. He has published about 40 academic papers and 2 monographs. In recent years, He has undertaken a large number of major issues of the National Fund Committee, the State Administration of Taxation, the Ministry of Education, and the Shenzhen Local Taxation Bureau. At the same time, he served as a project review and decision-making expert for local governments in Shenzhen and Dongguan. Also, He is an academic advisor to several investment companies.

Introduction

 Huang Yaying, professor, vice-president of Chinese Association of International Economic Law, Director of Legislative Research Center of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, Dean of Intellectual Property Institute of Shenzhen University. Research mainly focus on international economic law and commercial arbitration. As Post-doctoral Mentor (super adviser), recruited and supervised 15 doctoral and postdoctoral students and nearly 150 master's students.

Dean of law faculty Shenzhen University from 2009-2019, 2017-2019 served as legal adviser of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Party, 2010 -2021 elected as member of Standing Committee of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Congress and Legislative Affairs Commission. Currently acting as a member of Supervisory and Judicial Affairs Committee of Shenzhen Municipal People's Congress, council member and arbitrator of Shenzhen court of international arbitration, arbitrator of Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (also known as the Shanghai International Arbitration Center).

Introduction

Li Donghui, graduated from the Department of Audit, School of Economics, Wuhan University with a bachelor's degree, and then worked in the Financial Audit Department of The People's Republic of China for three years. After receiving a PhD in Finance from the Department of Finance at the University of New South Wales in 2001, he worked in the department until January 2015. He is currently a distinguished Professor of Finance at School of Economics, Shenzhen University.He currently studies corporate finance and is highly influential in international academia. His academic papers have been published in the world's top finance and finance journals, such as Journal of Finance,Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. He is also an anonymous reviewer of many world-renowned academic journals, including The Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Risk and Insurance, etc. At present, he is the assessor of the application and conclusion of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects. He has been rated as a Shenzhen Overseas High-level "Peacock Program" talent, and he has been employed as an expert of senior Professional Title Evaluation Committee of Shenzhen Finance Bureau and an expert of Shenxin Communication Think Tank of Shenzhen Press Group.

Introduction

Professor Fan Li joined Shenzhen University in 2014. She gained Ph.D in economics from University of Florida, USA. She is an Overseas High-level Talent of Shenzhen, and a Distinguished Young Scholar of Shenzhen University. Her research mainly focuses on industrial organization, Internet and digital economy and applied econometrics. She also served as a research fellow of the Public Utilities Research Center of University of Florida and an instructor of the Regulatory Economics courses for international officials of the World Bank. She has published nearly 20 high-level (SSCI / SCI / CSSCI) papers. Her paper received the first prize award of China Logistics Society in year 2017. She also took in charge of 5 national, provincial or ministerial projects of scientific research. In year 2020 and 2021, the student teams advised by her won the Meritorious Winner Prize of American College Students’ mathematical modeling competition for two consecutive sessions.

Wu Fenglan

Introduction

Wu Fenglan, a professor with a PhD and deputy director of the editorial department of JECR, mainly researches on instituional economics, sepcial zone economy, bay area economy and the Belt and Road Initiative. She has persided over a National Social Science Foundation named Research on the Supply of International Public Goods Under the Belt and Road Initiative from the Perspective of Global Economic Governance, and has directed several social science planning projects of Guangdong Province and major projects of Shenzhen manicipal party committee and municipal government. Besides, she has published more than 30 academic papers and political advice in SSCI journals, domestic authoritative academic journals and Southern Think Tank newspaper. She was the author of two published academic monographs and the associate editor of nine published works.

Introduction

Professor Zhang received his PhD in Management Science from the School of Economics and Management at the Nanjing University of Science & Technology in 2008. His academic interests lie broadly in the development economics of China, especially in the interaction between government, market and society of urban-rural governance of contemporary China.

His research was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Social Science Foundation of China. His writings have appeared in publications such as Applied Economics, Social Choice and Welfare, Group Decision and Negotiation, etc., and won the China Institutional Economics Annual Conference and China Quantitative Economics Annual Conference Excellent Paper Award.

He has begun to work on an exciting portfolio of projects that examine empirically the possible consequences of informal institutions, just as traditional culture on urbanization and civilization in China. For the city of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, he also tried to explore the internal mechanism of innovation, especially the influence of the above-mentioned informal institution on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Introduction

  Fumin Zhu is an associate professor of Finance in the College of Economics at Shenzhen University. Zhu earned his PhD in management from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and Joint Ph.D. from State University of New York at Stony Brook (Quantitative Finance project in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics). His research interests include derivative pricing and hedging, nonlinear financial econometrics, sequential Bayesian learning approach, FinTech and artificial intelligence.

He has finished heading the project of National Natural Science Foundation of China for young scholar and two projects of State Administration of Taxation. Now, he is holding a project of National Natural Science Foundation of China. Zhu has published more than ten papers in SCI/SSCI and more than ten papers in Chinese. Zhu’s work has appeared in Studies in Nonlinear Dynamics and Econometrics, Applied and Computational Harmonic Analysis, Neurocomputing, International Journal of Production Research.

William YUN, Associate Researcher and Lecturer of the China Center for Special Economic Zone Research and the Belt and Road Research Institute of Shenzhen University, Ph.D advisor for overseas students; Executive editor of Journal of the Belt and Road Studies; Graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology, Peking University, Georgetown University and Sun Yat-sen University; Specializing in Economic History, History of International Relations, History of Sino-foreign Exchanges, Regional Studies of Central and South Asia, and Studies of the World Special Economic Zones; Published books such as Journal of the Belt and Road Studies (2018 Issue 1), First Compilation of Yung Wing Documents in the United States, and many academic papers in the above fields. William is carrying out researches on the geopolitical and geo-economic projects about Central and South Asia, which is supported by the National Social Science Foundation of China and ministries of the Chinese government. William is engaged in the work of promoting economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and the countries along the inland and maritime Silk Routes.

Introduction

Han Li is an assistant professor at College of Economics, Shenzhen University, China. I graduated from Zhejiang University with bachelor degree in Statistics, 2010. I achieved the PhD degree in Statistics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2014. My current research interests include, but are not limited to, data integration analysis, ranking model, financial risk measurement, computational statistics and econometrics. I have published several papers in Journal of the American Statistical Association, Journal of Computational and Graphical Statistics, and etc.

Introduction

Wen Yang, male, born in November 1981. He received PhD of economics from Peking University in 2013, majoring in political economics. He is now an associated professor at the department of finance, Shenzhen University, and is the supervisor of master of finance and post doctor of finance.

His major reseach fields including digital financial inclusion, monetary policy, efficiency and productivity, and income distribution. He has published more than ten academic papers in journals such as the Economic Research Journal(Chinese Version), Finance Research Letters(SSCI), and has presided over several projects such as the National Social Science Fund project(CN). He is also the chief editor of the Study of Path of RMB Internationalization and the vice editor of Finance(6th edition), a textbook for undergraduate.
