Valid‑until Date for Visa Application

For one‑year applications: For degree‑seeking students, the visa shall be valid until the 20th day of the month when the next academic year commences. For language students, the visa shall be valid until the last day of the month in which the current academic year ends. For example, for a visa application submitted in Autumn 2026, degree‑seeking students shall enter 20 September 2027, and language students shall enter 31 July 2027.

For six‑month applications: For degree‑seeking students, the visa shall be valid until the 20th day of the month when the next semester commences. For language students, the visa shall be valid until the last day of the month in which the current semester ends. For example, for a visa application submitted in Autumn 2026, degree‑seeking students shall enter 20 March 2027, and language students shall enter 31 January 2027.

Graduating degree‑seeking students: Enter the last day of the month of graduation. For instance, undergraduate students graduating in 2026 shall enter 31 July 2026. Doctoral students graduating in Spring 2027 shall enter 31 January 2027.

If the passport expiry date is earlier than the above‑mentioned applicable validity period, the expiry date of the passport shall be adopted as the expiry date of the new visa.
