I. Introduction to SZU and CIE
SZU is the earliest comprehensive university in Shenzhen, as one of the top 30 universities nationwide. The main campus is beautiful with complete living facilities and convenient transportation.
SZU started to enroll international students since 1987 and has nurtured over 20,000 international students so far. In 2019, SZU was granted the National Quality Certification of Studying in China by the China Education Association for International Exchange.
Adopting a multi-cultural curriculum featuring both local and global issue, CIE does not only offer regular degree programs at its core, but also develops flexible on-demand non-degree programs featuring different course components and learning periods. It has become one of the most recognized and established institute for international Chinese education in Shenzhen.
CIE is staffed with a distinguished and professional team of committed instructors, who have been teaching Chinese to international students for over a decade, with TCFL certificates. Quite a few of them own titles of professor or Ph.D. degrees. In recent years, the teaching team has been continuously learning and actively applying new technologies in teaching and classroom, closely integrating teaching content with the practical application of modern social development. So that the teaching level and professional competence are strong, and their teaching earns great respect and reputation from students, with a student retention rate of over 80%.

V. Apply for Qualification
1. Applicants must hold a valid foreign passport (valid for more than half a year).
2. Applicants must be between 18-60 years old.
3. The applicant should be in good health, of good character, and abide by Chinese laws, regulations and the rules and regulations of the school.

VIII. About visas and attendance
1) Tuition Payment Instructions for Study Duration
1.Applicants applying for a six-month study period (one semester) should apply for an X2 short-term student visa to enter China (X2 visa is a single-entry visa). Upon entry with the X2 visa, students must register in the college on the designated registration day, pay the tuition fee of RMB 11,000 for one semester, and complete the enrollment procedures.
(Students entering with an X2 visa who fail to register on time will be reported to the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Public Security Department in accordance with actual circumstances.)
2. Applicants applying for a one-year study period (two semesters) should apply for an X1 student visa to enter China. Upon entry with the X1 visa, students must register in the college on the designated registration day, pay the full tuition fee of RMB 22,000 for one academic year, and complete the enrollment procedures.
Within 30 days after entry, students must convert the X1 visa into a Residence Permit for Study (Resident Permit for Study allows multiple entries).
According to university regulations, once the residence permit has been successfully issued, the tuition fee will not be refunded.
2) All students with study visas and residence permits must maintain a course attendance rate of more than 80% during the study period, and must ensure a certain pass rate of the examination, otherwise, the university has the right to apply for cancellation of study visa and study residence permit according to the actual situation.
