The 2025 Shenzhen University Immersion Visiting Program for International Students came to a successful conclusion.

From September 15th to 21st, 2025, 64 teachers and students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore visited our university, embarking on a 7-day immersive study visit and exchange. This event was organized and planned by the College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University, aiming to enable the participating teachers and students to directly experience the development achievements of Shenzhen and the academic atmosphere of Shenzhen University during the one-week visit.

On the morning of September 16th, the immersive study exchange program officially kicked off at the Ben Yuan Lecture Hall. At the opening ceremony, Dean Pan Yanchun of the College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University first extended a warm welcome to all the teachers and students of the visiting group from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore, and expressed her expectations for this exchange activity. She hoped that everyone would actively communicate, embrace differences, and gain knowledge, friendship and growth through teamwork and the collision of ideas, truly experiencing the meaning of "reading ten thousand books and traveling ten thousand miles". Subsequently, Dr. Ding Wanling from the School of Management of Shenzhen University gave a "General Knowledge of China" lecture to the students, introducing the development of China's science and technology and society.

This immersive study visit program was rich in content. During the one-week visit, in the expert lecture sessions, students listened to many professional and cutting-edge academic reports, broadening their knowledge horizons. The cultural experience and exchange activities were also extremely diverse. The Chinese painting experience allowed Singaporean students to appreciate the unique charm of traditional Chinese painting art, where the ink and brush strokes flow with the cultural heritage of thousands of years. In the martial arts experience, every move demonstrated the combination of hardness and softness in Chinese martial arts, allowing students to personally feel the power of Chinese traditional culture. The student forum with the students of the School of Information Engineering of Shenzhen University built a communication bridge in the professional field for both sides, promoting the collision and exchange of academic ideas.

The enterprise visit schedule was equally impressive. Students entered Guocer Yongfengyuan to experience the perfect blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation; they visited Mindray Medical and Dasim Intelligent to gain a deep understanding of the cutting-edge technologies and innovative achievements in the fields of medical technology and intelligent buildings; they visited the big data laboratory at Shenzhen University's Canghai Campus to appreciate the strength and charm of university research; and the electronics market in Huaqiangbei allowed students to witness Shenzhen's powerful technological innovation vitality and business atmosphere.

The city exploration activity led the students to have a comprehensive understanding of Shenzhen. At Lianhua Mountain Park, the students overlooked the entire cityscape and felt the ecological beauty of Shenzhen. Strolling through the Shenzhen Museum, the historical context was clearly presented through each exhibit, allowing everyone to have a deeper understanding of the city's development. The Dachaoqi Zhujiang Exhibition Hall vividly displayed the tremendous achievements of Shenzhen since its reform and opening up, and the students were deeply moved by Shenzhen's innovative spirit of daring to try and venture.

On the afternoon of September 20th, the closing ceremony was successfully held. Vice dean Zheng Jie of the College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University and the team leader from Singapore presented the closing certificates to the students who participated in this exchange program, commending their active performance and outstanding achievements during the exchange period. The students all expressed that through this program, they not only gained knowledge and skills, but also made friends from different countries and deeply felt the charm of different cultures.

                  

The successful holding of this immersive study visit and exchange program is not only a vivid practice of educational cooperation between the two schools, but also a powerful measure to promote international cultural exchange and enhance international friendship under the guidance of the national education exchange policy. It is believed that in the future, the two schools will continue to deepen cooperation and contribute to pushing international education exchange and cooperation to a new height.
