Recently,10 international students from Russia,Brazil,Pakistan,Bangladesh and other countries visited beautiful rural areas in Heyuan City of Guangdong Province to learn about big changes brought about by rural vitalization.

The itinerary comprised exploring WanlvLake, the largest man-made lake in South China, savoring local delicacies, participating in sweet potato harvesting, and touring the Heyuan Dinosaur Museum, the museum with the largest collection of fossilized dinosaur eggs in the world.

"This experiential journey has etched profound memories and offered valuable insights that I aim to apply in my home country. Armed with these experiences and strategies, I aspire to address pertinent issues within my community," said Hayat Qaisar,a student from Pakistan. He added that observing the progress of Heyuan and its counties in recent years was noteworthy.

A Bangladeshi student, Uddin Md Borhan, considered this tour an invaluableexperience, fostering cultural exchange and deepening their understanding of China's rich heritage."As I bid farewell to Heyuan,I carry with me not only the lessons learned from the cultural exchange but also the warmth of the friendships forged during this journey."

The students also gave a lively international culture class to local primary school students in Heyuan, introducing their country's traditional customs and landmarks, and presenting gifts to each other.

The "Knowing Heyuan City" activity was organized by the College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University. It encourages students to have firsthand experience of China's rural modernization and understand China's national conditions and culture comprehensively.
